Question Rust in over rear wheels?

I've noticed a lot of the 96 & earlier F150s in my area are showing rust problems at the rear fender just above the wheels. Is that something fairly common to the these trucks? Don't seem to see notice it as much on the F250s.

Yes its very common for these trucks. the beds are the same between the 150/250 so there really shouldnt be a reason why one rusts more than the other.
