94 Bronco problems, need help

Occasionally when i accelerate, my rpms rev pretty high(3000) and then it bucks forward. This problem has happened when i first drive it in the morning and while driving at constant speeds. Sometimes it will continue excelerating for about a second after i let off the gas. This problem has been off and on for months.

When my Bronco does this, if i turn it off and then on, the problem seems to be fixed. Also, it shifts very smoothly and accelaerates well except when the problem occurs.

I took it in for service and they gave me a tune up and said my fuel pump was ok, but the problem is still there, it just doesnt buck as hard.

Could it be the torque converter, maybe the fuel pump is bad, or maybe the transmission?

I know this may sound crazy but a few months ago mine did something similar, only after a few times I finally heard a "bearing" sound and was able to get under the hood before it stopped. Turned out to be my fan clutch failing. It would let go and the motor would rev or pull hard then grab. Whatever it is I hope its simple

Sounds like transmission to me. DO you have the correct fluid level?
