I didn't go ricer, did I???

I recently decided I wanted a carbon fiber instrument panel, but because I'm me, I decided to make it myself. It's actually a from a roll of carbon fiber looking sticker stuff, and an aluminum bezel I picked up. Total time to make and install, about an hour and a half.

I feel so ricer.

I think you are still safe. If you get the urge to put alteza(sp?) tail lights on then I would be worried!

I have some real carbon fiber mat and resin. the sticker looks much better than making one out of the real stuff, unless you have a very well made mold.

Oh and **** you guy's about the alteezas

Burgundy truck with red (stock) tails looks goofy. Black alteezas made a world of difference in look's on mine.....but my old chrome one's looked so ****ty when I see pic's of it now.

heh, looks like a head gasket

I noticed you have oil pressure, even when the instrument panel is out!?!

Just kidding PKRWD. Very creative, looks nice. Where did you get the CF sticker stuff?

eBay.
lol.

Chris, I never trust factory gauges. lol. You think I'm nuts? Okay, don't answer that.

This is it at night. lol. I know you can't see the carbon fiber stuff, but i'm still proud of my mods to the needles and my colored highlights on the gauges.

Yes it looks good.
Is that what happens when the factory guages are unplugged? I mean you have 0 volts so the truck isn't running, yet you have "R" oil pressure on the factory guage. I'm just wondering. I have an oil pressure guage on my bench I haven't gotten around to installing yet. Oh, I have tach envy too.

The way the oil, temp, and gas gauges work is when the power goes off, they just become free-floating. You can move them with your finger if you want to, there won't be any resistance. But as soon as you turn the key on, and apply voltage, they snap back to where they are supposed to be.

What year is your truck?

do the toilet seat!

But seriously, what about that trim piece on the front of the dash pad, just below the radio that extends all the way over to the passenger side. And the matching pieces on the inside door panels. And the blinker stalk. The frig handle. Computer mouse, cat box, tv remote, all the light switches in the house, telephone, smoke alarm,
