Alternator upgrade,Which brand????

I'm looking into upgrading my alternator in my 1991 5.0L. engine.
I was wondering what brand that you guys recommend.
I'm currently running a remanufactured 100 amp alt from a mustang.

I've seen a bunch on Ebay. Any thoughts?

Thanks,
Jerry

Check these out, best deal I've found on a HD Ford alt.

That's the same alt as the link I gave, it's a 3G ford unit. The only thing is that application is for a Mustang, truck unit has different bolt locations, although I recall you said you have a Mustang set-up already, so it might work for you. Hey if the price is better and it fits, bid on it. The larger 3G alts are the way to go if you want more power and durability.

Hey, just went and checked your under hood photos, you did switch to a complete Mustang bracket and belt tensioner, so the Mustang application will work on your truck.

Check out this alternative to upgrading your alternator:

The guy replaced his 3G unit with a large case Ford unit. Might be worth a look.
