Hey guys, I've asked over at FTW, and now I'm gonna ask over here to see what the responses are. I have a 4x2 89' F-150 with a C6 3-speed tranny and a 351W. I'm going witha 6" lift and 315/75/16's (ie 35's, or close to). Anyways, what gears do you all suggest?

 

if gas mileage isnt too much of an issue, id go with 4.56's. i have 3.73's on 33" tires and i regret everyday not going with the 4.10's, so my vote is for 4.56's to turn those 35's. if cruising rpm's is a concern (since your C6 has no OD), then go with 4.10's, but dont go any higher than that. good luck!

 

Yah, thats my problem right now. Right now I'm not ever at freeway speeds, but in a year when I goto college I will be on the freeway frequently. I hate choosing things, lol. Anyways, are 4.30's available for our trucks?

I run 4.10's with only a 31x10.5x15 and wish I had more sometimes.

 

Well all, I'm gonna go with the 4.10's for the same of not having OD, and that in the next year I'll be going to college and i'll be on the freeway @75-80mph quite often. As long as it feels better than my 3.08's paired with my 31's, I'll be fine . I woulda went 4.56's if I woulda had OD though. My MPG already sucks and having a chip running premium doesn't help either, lol. Thanks guys!
