Exclamation Need help with a 302 buildup

I have an '86 Ford Bronco with a bad 302 in it right now. I am in the process of doing a solid axle conversion on it right now. Going to be running a Dana 60 front axle and a Dana 60 or 70 rear axle with 37 or 38" tires. I will probably run 4.10s or 4.56s depending on which tire I chose for the initial buildup.

Right now I am in need af a "high" hp 302. I would like to run one of those crate motors at 345hp but the $3000 price tag doesn't excite me the most.

What I want is 270-300hp at the rear tires.

My question is how do I achieve this? Do I stick with the stock fuel injection (is it capable of handling this task) or should I opt out on a carbeurated set-up, or convert over to mass air?

I was on the edelbrock web site earlier tonite and found that with running the full performance package they were talking of making 367hp with a carb.

So what do you guys think? I'd like to stick with the Overdrive tranmission in this vehicle, but I know nothing about it or what model it even is. (I haven't taken possesion of the Bronco yet), or would I be better off going with the C6?

Sorry for all the questions but I want to build this Bronco the right way.

Turning such big tires is going to require a little bit of torque. Why not go for a short block 351 put some good heads on it and convert it to mass air. You will have some good power then. If you want to stick with a 302, look at places like DSS performance or Keith Craft for a good built 331 short block and put a good top end on it.
