Top End Speed

Got a '95 with a 302 and a 5-spd. 3.55 ls rear. Does anybody know what the top end of this truck is or when does the computer shut me off?

You'll get shut down at around 97 mph. It might vary since it's based on tire rating, but mine is a '95 as well.

Not that I do this kinda thing often, but I hit the limiter trying to get to the hospital when my daughter was born. The limiter screwed me.... missed it by a couple minutes!

I've heard some limiters do strange things and make the car/truck buck, seem like it's about to grenade, etc. My didn't do any of that.... just seemed like the power ended right at that same speed. Even if I kicked it down to 3rd the revs would rise right to that speed and that was it. Amazingly it would hold that speed on the flat in OD as well, and I have a 3.31 4x4 Supercab.
