4.9 rocker arms

4.9 rocker arms
I wanted to get larger roller rockers for my 4.9 several years ago, but couldn't find any info anywhere. I asked my buddy that worked at Hawaii Racing, and he said he thought the Cobra rollers would fit, but he was just guessing.
Well, recently someone asked me if anyone made roller rockers for the 4.9, or which rockers were interchangable, so I went searching for info again, and I just discovered something new, and thought I'd share the sad news...
The V8 rockers are different, and won't work. There are, however, two other Ford engines that use the exact same rockers;
1984-1994 Tempo/Topaz 2.3L
1986-1991 Taurus/Sable 2.5L
While I still haven't found anyone that makes rollers for the 4.9, if you can find rollers for either of those two engines, they will work on a 4.9.

Allegedly the 1.75:1 rockers from a C***y I-6 will fit the 300. Several sources make roller rockers for the C***y. Pushrod length may or may not be OK. There have also been reports that the 1.7:1 roller rockers from a BBC will fit the 300.
