I looking to swap in a 460 big block and boat anchor my old tired 302. Are there any things besides motor mounts and engine modual that need swapped?

 

What year truck?

 

Yeah, the year of truck would help a lot, but I can already tell you that it ain't gonna be an easy swap! If I were you, I would consider swapping in a 351. There's still some changes to make, but nowhere near as many as with a 460 (ie transmission, engine mounts, drive shaft). I would sell my truck and buy one with a 460 before I'd attempt that swap. Why go through all the trouble?

 

1980 F150 Shortbox w/C6 tranny. This truck will be done as a hot rod custom. I also plan a drop for it, suicide doors, custom wood floor bed and custom interior with a hand formed dash.
