Unhappy Selling Bessie...

I am selling my F150. I have just finished fixing her up and I've decided to sell. My wife has taken a new job and we decided to update our stable so she bought a new van and I bought a new Mazda B4000 (Ford Ranger in disguise). We hope to pay these off by spring so when we have kids she'll have the option to quit or go part-time and we'll have cars that will last us years. At least I still have a Ford and it's a truck. I'll still keep check on this board as well as the engine board. I've learned more here than any other boards. The ranger boards seem to be a lot of young guys (I'm only 36) but they don't have the engine knowledge you guys do. I get the x-plan through work and with the discounts and rebates I couldn't pass this up. We got $4500 off sticker of the van and get this, $6500 off on the B4000. They practically gave me the truck! The Mazdas are a great deal right now, they have $3500 rebate whereas the Fords are $3000 and they have 4yr/50k mile warranty instead of 3/36.

Anyone near VA that wants a nice F150 let me know. I'll disclose any defects I know about (only 2 minor ones). I have extensively replaced a lot of wear and tear items and it will make someone a good work horse. The 5.8l is very stout and rare to find in a short bed, reg cab.

Thanks for everything!

Here is a pic of her if this works

*rubs eyes* I read it twice but still don't see how much you want for your crusty old Ford. I am just wondering what a decent 94 with 351 goes for.

Good luck with that new truck.

Cool

crusty old ford?

I'm hoping to get around $6800. I've listed it for $7300 figuring you always ask more to allow room to bargain. It's a blast to drive. The 351 pulls really nice and can really take off if needed in traffic. My brother's 02 x-cab w/5.4l has more tq/hp but I can beat him in the stoplight drag. It has great braking power and pulled my boat with ease. I love the k&n and magnaflow on the boat ramp when giving it juice to pull out of the water. Nice attention getter with that growl.

Thats too damned nice to sell! If I was closer to you I'd take it off your hands! Been looking real hard for a truck like that around SD but you can't find them!

Do you deliver?

ccnseven: yeah, I'm sad every evening when I park beside here knowing that I'm selling her. She runs good and is all fixed up. I do love driving my B4000 though. It's smaller and feels more cramped but is still a nice truck.

Fordman302: sure, I'll deliver. I need a vacation. You could put me up like a B&B for a couple days and I'll sight see.

I did it

It finally sold. My B4000 is doing great though. I'll keep reading this board as I'm still a Ford truck fan and I like to keep up with them. I really like what I see of the '04 F150 but the deal on the B4000 was just too good. I also get 3-4 mpg better. I wish we could get the 4 door Ranger with the diesel engine like they have over seas. Now that would be nice!

Thanks for all the help in the past!
