tune up time

well its time to get reddy and tune up the ole truck ,ive got 10,000 on it since ive owned it, idont know how long before i got it that it was done . im reddy to go get the stuff so what do you all recamend? ,i was looking at the accel truck super tune up kit in the new summit book for 79.95 $ , i have a 94 f150 4x4 302 5 sp. with 140k and a k/n drop in i was getting 17.5 mpg now im down to around 13mph also what is the best timing setting any help thanx mike.

i would check the plug wires
replace the plugs
if your feeling up to it replace the fluids with synthetic.
most of us are using 14 degrees btdc as our timing starting point.
I allso cut the bottom off my air filter box to open it up a bit, and it gives it a nice meaty sound

i know there is more but that is my part of your list.

I did a tune up, and I think I found the best stuff you can get:
Accel Distributor Cap & Rotor Button
Accel Performance Coil
Accel 300+ 8.8mm Race Wires
Denso Iridium ITF-16 Plugs

Makes my truck run great from idle to 5000 rpms, with no misses.
