No, all windsors have the same bolt pattern and trannies are interchangeable between all. The 300 also shares the smallblock bolt pattern.

new guy here

i just bought a 92 302 f 150 blown up and sat a 351 in the hole, which is why im posting on here. i bought a complete motor out of a 95 bronco, but i didnt buy the computer. ive been looking for one, but everyone says theres like 10 different computers for a e40d 351 4x4 f150, all of them have different part no. suffixes. whats the big difference between all these computers? and did a lightning have a different/better computer and can i use it on my 351?
both the motors were speed ensity, and im using mustang headers, which i had to dimple the firewall for. the rest of the swap, like he says, is pretty straight forward. i didnt change my EEC though, and i think thats why the truck wont start.

Yes, If I remeber correctly the reason for the ecu change is the 351 has a competely different firing pattern than the 302. Also consider that the inectors in the 351 are bigger and the ECU has to know to compensate the fuel air mix.
