Exclamation Help, Need Advise Quick!!

INSTALLIN A NEW GAS TANK IN MY 92 F150, GOT THE WHOLE THING HANGIN LOSE BUT CAN'T GET THE FREAKIN FUEL FILLER HOSE OFF THE TANK, THERE IS A OUTER HOSE AND AN INNER HOSE. THE OUTER HOSE COMES RIGHT OFF BUT CAN'T FIGURE OUT HOW TO GET THE INNER HOUSE OFF SO i CAN REMOVE THE TANK. THE DIRECTIONS BELOW CAME RIGHT OUT OF THE FORD CD ROM SERVICE MANUAL. ANY ADVISE? NEED TO FINISH THIS BY TOMORROW, ANY SUGGESTIONS SHORT OF A STICK OF DYNOMITE WOULD BE A HELP, THANKS

1. Raise the rear of the vehicle.

2. To avoid electrical sparking at the tank, disconnect battery ground cable. Then disconnect the fuel delivery module connector (FDM) near the fuel tank.

3. Using Rotunda 034-00001 Fuel Storage Tanker or equivalent, drain fuel tank. Drain both tanks on dual tank vehicles.

4. Disconnect the fuel line push-connect fittings at the FDM.

5. Loosen the clamp on the fuel filler pipe. Disconnect the filler pipe hose by pulling along the rubber inner tube from the tank filler neck.

If you disconnected the filler hose at the tank the little tube should slide right out.
The little tube is actually the filler tube. The big one is the breather tube

Finished the job about 12:00 today, the filler hose came out no prob this mornin, guess takin a break and startin fresh makes a difference. Tank replacement is really not that difficult, just time consuming and a little aggrivating. I owe some thanks to signmaster for his input on the fuel line tools. The gold anodized tool from performance tool for 3/8" lines is great, don't forget to buy the red anodized toll as well for the 5/16" line. The gold, 3/8" is for the pressurized line from the tank to the engine, the 5/16 line is from the engine back to the tank, fuel overflow. The hardest part for me was gettin the filler hose/vent hose disconnected from the tank. Was just about ready to sell the truck last night til I quit and started back this mornin, take you're time is all I can say. Hope none of you have to do this job. lad it's over.
While test drivin to be sure the tank install was right, found out my fan clutch was bad, replacin that tommorrow morn. I tell you what, when the clutch free spools, the engine sure turns up the rpms quicker and gets outta the hole faster, makin me thin about installin some elec fans

I had to drop my rear tank a few weeks back to put in a new fuel pump. Kind of a PITA job, glad I had an air wrench, those bolts were pretty crusty.
