Well I ordered a K&N air intake system and a Flowmaster cat-back 2 days ago for the Bronco. Have of you done the same setup on your trucks>??? My brother had it on his and liked it a real lot. Also I need the computer code to get my chip burned. Can some1 tell me where the computer is on this thing>??? I poked my head under the dash quickly the other day but didn't see it. Any ideas>??? Thanks guys. -Mat-

Oh yeah, I also installed a set of Heavy Duty Warn manual locking hubs. The 4x4 works great now(from what I can tell last night in the snow). -Mat-

It is on yours Donate54, but not on his. 92 thru 96 it is accessed from the engine bay and is located behind the fire wall just below and right of the brake booster looking from the front. You can see the connector harness and plug going to the fire wall.

So does that mean I have to do all sorts of crazy stuff to install a chip>??? That makes me sad. Oh well, let me know or I will look. I saw the connector but no computer. -Mat-

The chip is behind the drivers side kick panel,, but it is behind the parking brake assembly. If you pull of the kick panel and look between the parkinf brake and the exterior of the truck, you will be able to see it. I pulled mine out from under the hood. All you have to do is unscrew a few screws from the fender well and just pull the ECU out through there. Look in my gallery, I have a few pics.

I don't know if it's different for the '92 models, but on my '90, the ecu can be accessed from the driver's side kick panel and the engine bay below the master cylinder. However, in order to install a chip, I had to take the kick panel off (the e-brake didn't give me too much trouble) and then unscrew the box from the engine bay. So perhaps both of you guys are right on the location of the ecu box.

As for the K&N FIPK and flowmaster exhaust, I think that's a real nice setup. I love the way my truck sounds. My signature will tell you exactly what I have. I hope you're happy with your new truck and I hope the mods. work out for you! Good luck with the chip too!

I am happy. I love driving it! It has a great ride for a truck and everything is just so tight(steering feel). The brakes are the best I have ever felt. I wish my lackluster Lightning brakes felt this good. It has a few scratches and dings but it is a truck. I will have to play around with the computer 2morrow. Thanks for the help guys. -Mat-

what code ?

What code is required for this? PCM Enginerring number? Part number? I'm not a chip advocate but i can access the above numbers usually with a VIN or calibration code if anyone request it. Cant do anything with tear tag numbers though.

You can get to it from behind the driverside kick panel or engine bay.

Fast Pony and Donate are both talking about the same place, both way's will get you to it.

I need the 4 character calibration code on the computer. They said the one in the door is not good enough. -Mat-

To find the code sit in your truck, open the door and look strait ahead where the door hinges are, and there should be a sticker. If not, pull the kick panel off and just look up in there, and you will be able to read it off the ECU.

Thanks for all the help guys. I will have to pull the kick panel and look for the code.

I also ordered my tires and wheels today. Went with MB Motoring #70 Mirror Machined. Tires are Kumho 31x11.5x15 M/T. Can't wait to get them on. -Mat-
