Unhappy Truck broke down

Driving down the shore yesterday for work (80 miles away....hour and a half drive) and i get about an hour away from home and the 85 work truck just dies and coasts to a stop. had a full tank of gas and everythign else, but sounded like it wasn't getting gas or something when i cranked it. Got a can of starter fluid and sprayed it in the carb, and after a few seconds it finally kicked over again and ran fine the rest of the way and back home today, so maybe it was just like a vaporlock or dirt in the fuel line or something??? taking it up tomorrow to get it checked out and the fuel filter changed. just bored and felt like posting
