If you go to the Holly or Edelbrock website you can send an email to the technical department with your engine specs and they will recommend a carb. Personally i would go with a Holly truck avenger or street avenger carb because they are really simple to tune. If i had to guess i would say a 650cfm carb would be about right for your engine. I'm building a 351w right now that will put out about 500hp and 550lbft torque and i'm only using a 750cfm on it.

Do you know what carb is on it now? Maybe it just needs to be adjusted and have the choke fixed?

Question

Jon,
I am not sure what kind of carb is on the truck. I have looked for an I.D. tag and someone has removed it. I have even look for the manufacturer like ford or carter but with no luck. I was thinking about just a strait Edelbrock 500cfm 4 bll.

Do you think that the 500 cfm will be a good choice.
