i found a 1992 cadillac deville with 129k miles for 3000.00 . People over at cadillac forums said not to get it. I dunno its got a 4.9l engine and gets like 25miles to the gallon. What do u all think. Im even trying to get them down to 2500.00. This will be an all out investment with no room for error. If i get this car and something goes wrong im totaly ****ed. So does any one know the reliablity of the cadys. heres a car fax of it

Acording to the dealer the guy who owned it hit a deer. So they replaced the front left fender but they didnt paint it. Other than that it seems fine. There was a little hesistation when i was at a complete stop and flored it. But once out on the road it opend up pretty quick. So what should i do. the car looks like a grandma car but if itll get me to where i need to go then its fine.

I'd say $1900 is a bit much for those tin boxes. I got a buddy who's owned four of them, plus a Ranger, and his brother has another one. On almost all of them, the tranny has gone out or the transfer case. They spend more time in his garage being repaired than on the road.
