i was wondering i heard that if you go from conventional oil to sinthetic oil it will **** up your rings and such is this true or not thanks i would like to go with mobile 1 full synthetic but ive been told to stick with what i have or ill be sorry

 

well, the only thing bad ive heard about synthetic is that if your engine has any type of leaks, it might make the leaks worse, but thats all. im no expert though, so hopefully someone whoknows for sure will post...

 

Got about 35K using Mobil 1 with no problems so far. I switched at 105K. I've been using Mobil 1 5w30 synth with Motorcraft FL1-A filters.

 

I heard they were gonna let Florida vote in 2004.

There are lots of rumors out there, but the truth is that you'll be just fine.

Anyways I switched to Mobil 1 at 85k and I'm at 113k w/out any problems, although my dumbass mother in law switched to Amsoil(synth) at 150k on a 4.0 Exploder and now that thing is a non stop river of oil...I told her not to switch to a synthetic that high....but NOOOOOOO don't listen to Sprocket.

I switched over at 30K. No probs at all.
