Fuel Tank Leak

I just bought a 1993 XLT 4X4 with a 5.0L V-8 in pristine condition. This is my first truck (I won't even count the Nissan sardine can I had last year) and I love it. It seems, though, that there is a fuel leak from the rear tank. Since the front tank is pretty large, I probably can get by using just that one. Is replacing the rear tank a big deal? Also, I've seen elsewhere on this forum that there may be some problem with early 93 F-150's where the rear fuel pump pumps fuel into the front tank. That doesnt' seem to be my problem, but perhaps it is and I just don't know it. One more thing: is it true that these "superchips" will give me a little more power? I drive this truck in mountainous terrain and it seems real sluggish on hills. Thanks for any advice.

Yep i think everyone agrees that the superchip is worth the money. As far as the rear tank it is pretty easy to drop it out and replace it. As far as the problem with fuel being pumped into the front tank, there is a recall for that. If you call your Ford dealer with your vin number they could probably tell you if it needs to be done. If they do the recall and find a leak they will probably tell you whats leaking so you can fix it (or pay them to fix it).
