Yeah - that's about what it usually looks like at lunchtime on a normal day. They *ARE* the most popular fast food restaurant in town for lunch.

I went for lunch early, about 10:45. There were about 6 or 7 people in front of me at the counter. Got my food to go and as I was leaving it was like ants going to a picnic.

Funny thing was it seemed like everyone in there was smirking and satisfied about making a statement.

Had to go past the place about 2 hours later and it was cars to the street at the drive thru, and lines out the door.

I'm keeping my drink cup as a souvenier!

The one I went to was in Laguna Hills, I saw it on the news when I got home.

Sounds like the so called boycott failed miserably.

There was no organized boycott - it was an organized appreciation day.

Exactly. Several mayors (Chicago, Boston) and a few other local places (Mountain View, CA) had blasted Chik-fil-A in response to the owner's comments in support of traditional marriage.

Rahm Emmanual (Chicago Mayor/former Congressman and Obama Chief of Staff) was pretty vocal, and said that Chik-fil-A was not respectful and did not have Chicago values.

I lol'd at that, as the employees at every Chik-fil-A I've been in have been extremely respectful to everyone. They are the epitome of politeness and respectful customer service, and that respect for the customer really stands out compared to other fast food restaurants. So Rahm was really wrong about that, IMO. More places should show the respect that Chik-fil-A does.

As for Chik-fil-A not having Chicago values, i guess I'm OK with that, too.

Early reports from the Pres of Chick-Fil-A are that they set some type of world record, for what who knows. Maybe most spicy chicken sandwhiches sold in a day?

On Friday, the chain’s opponents have called for a same-sex ‘kiss in’ at restaurant
outlets. (No joke.) They seem to feel that yesterday wasn't a show of solidarity
behind free speech, but a stand against gays.

From the comments I've read and heard, from many different sources, they may have
a point. I hear Jesus/Christians mentioned much more often than the Constitution.
The latter of which is where my support for Chick-fil-A stems from... And the free
speech hypocrisy of the Left.

i think the counter protest on friday with the gross kiss in was pretty much a failure. not many showed up, very little news coverage and people i know that are fairly tolerant had comments that type of display is uncalled for.

way to go. they want to be viewed as normal but then they have to make a point of being "special"

They are fighting for a "right" that no one has.

FWIW, tried to go there for lunch yesterday (Saturday). At 11:30 am, line WAY out the doors. We did not want to wait 30 minutes, so went someplace else.

In my books, they definitely are "special".
I have no idea why so many homosexuals have such a desire for attention. I am proud too, but for being hetrosexual. Wouldn't dream of drawing so much publicity for it...
I'd support Chick-Fil-A in a heartbeat, if i had one close to where i live.

This very well illustrates the absolute filth that is the modern liberal mind. pedophilia (once the hands are cleaned) doesn't matter to this piece of human offal, but Cassius Clay bothers him.
