drought and food prices

so the country has a severe drought that will cause food prices to rise greatly. one of the major factors or crops is corn. corn is used for food products as well as feed for animals. so what are they still going to do? make ethanol for gas out of it.

most ethanol companies will keep producing only if they can maintain a profit....you may see some temporarily shut down or reduce production down to a minimum....ar least that's what happened 3-4 years ago when corn had record prices....

obama has got to be loving this. food prices up as well as energy prices. more to feed his destruction of the economy.

if the bozo was serious about cutting foreign oil the first thing he would do is give the go ahead to drill. then as much as i would hate it reduce the speed limit nationally to 55.

but its easier to turn corn flakes into fuel for cars and trucks.

The one I find humorous, is the government fining oil companies because they are not blending gasoline with a fuel source that isn't even available yet.

Corn is made put to be a huge deal. It shouldn't be fed to cattle. Its not even what they should be fed. Same with fuel. Doesn't belong there. Subsidizes by the government iirc since it was worth nothing due to crazy surplus. Oh and corn just creates bacteria in the cows. Can you say antibiotic injections?

Corn should be used for whiskey and taco chips not filling gas tanks!

the farmers get subsidies for growing corn...

the people(usually big oil cough cough) who blend ethanol with the gas get subsidies for it...

the only way ethanol producers get subsidies is if they buy the gas(big oil again) and blend it themselves....

who wins? farmers and big oil with our tax dollars....

BTW.....big oil is buying up ethanol companies....
