And according to the Washington Post, it was a "close" vote. Assuming anyone thinks 7 points is "close".

It is a shame that the laws don't require that if those who demand a recall, don't have to pay for it out of pocket if they lose.

What a waste of tens of millions of dollars. While the recall effort was done legally, it didn't change a thing except a lot more money was spent on unecessary political campaigns.

I'm glad for the result of this recall. I don't know that it really means a thing in the bigger scheme of things. This is no reason to relax. It's no reason to be complacent. There are no guarantees that this result will happen in November.

I loved the guy on the news who (in tears) kept saying "Democracy just died." Of course if the unions had mounted an all out campaign and won, it would have been "a victory for democracy." Funny how things change.

I wouldn't look at this as winning the war though. At best, this was an important battle that was one. Too bad more folks don't understand just how much money was wasted to win it.
