Newts ex...

Any of you guys paying attention to this? It seems like Newt is about to get "Herman Cained" by the MSM now that he is gaining steam and potentially giving Romney a run for his money. The MSM has set on determining the matchup for us, Obama vs. Romney, no matter what us voters want.

Does she come across as a bitter old hag to anyone else? I read that she said in 1995 that she didn't want him to ever be President and that she would do whatever it took. Hell hath no furry...

Disappointing that the MSM will give such a platform to a disgruntled spouse.

It's going to get nasty from here on out.

I'm no fan of Newt, but the MSM should also be digging up dirt on Obama's mistress that was re-located to South America in 2006-7. I'm not holding my breath.

Just a thought.

Spot on! They want Romney to run. He is their best change to convince Ron Paul to make a third party go at it and split the Concervitives and Independents. This gives obama a free pass back to the White House. It worked in '96 and they will try to do it again in '12. Things have a way of repeating themselves. Cain was given the Clarence Thomas treatment once people started to take him serious.

My main concern is that Obama isn't reelcted. I don't care which one of the republican clowns gets the nomination. Another four years of Obama may do my fathers small business in. I'm not thrilled with any of the republicans. I just want to see someone at least start to turn the wheel in the right direction. The executive branch is only one of the branches. There are many other people we will be able to vote for. The prez isn't going to fix all of this. We've got to pay attention to the other people representing us, from our senators to the county dog catcher.

For thoes of you that don't like Romney, Newt, Paul, ect, ect, you'd rather have four more years of Obama? You want to vindicate what the damage that he's done so far?

This clown show that the republicans and the MSM are playing in just gets us that much closer to another four years of Obama.

This isn't going to help Newt. If he survives it now, it will certainly take him down if/when Obama and Co. are gunning for him.

This is the second largest problem with America today. We don't have any genuinely good candidates. It is always pick the lesser of two evils. Personally I don't want any evil running our country.

The first is that most people just don't pay attention to the important things. Yesterday my Fbook page flared with all these posts about the SOPA bill. I posted "Funny how nobody notices bad legislation until wikipedia shuts down for the day." NONE of the peope who normally post crap would touch that, meanwhile the friends of mine that never post anything and actually keep an eye on politics thought it was a great point. It illustrates America's top problem. Everyone (as in most people in general, you'll know if you aren't "everyone") is too media dependent. Everyone wants to be spoon fed the most interesting version of the most interesting story. Most of the time the most interesting version is an overly skewed story that hardly represents the actual situation and the most interesting story is completely unimportant.

Back in the late 1700's and early 1800's it would have been all the candidates running against each other. Not have a dozen compete against each other and the winner goes against the previous winner.

But I'll go ahead and get off my soap box before I get too riled up.

Well at least Newt opened up with both barrels at the start of the debate tonight. It was pretty cool to hear him blast away at the CNN guy......left him speechless.

Still don't think I could vote for ol' Newt in the primary, but if he somehow takes it, he has my vote. We just need Obama and his ilk gone.

Maybe because he's a dinger!

While some of his ideas are pretty good, he just doesn't have the horsepower to get them done. His forgien policy would probably get us all killed, (can't see a problem with Iran having a nuke!).

translation-the people who actually pull the strings don't want him elected. These people are the big businesses that actually control this country by bribing our corrupt government into making laws that make them even more money by banning or crippling the competition.

Not quite, I have a hard time seeing it your way.

To me this whole "Big Corporation" thing sounds alot like OWS. The trucks we drive are made by a big corporation. Does that make Ford Motor Company a bad thing?

The "Big Corporations" pulling the strings sounds like it's tin foil hat time. Do they have an influence, yup. Or maybe it would be much better if we all built our own trucks in our own back yards. But then you would have to have a neighbor that has his own steel mill, you know the kind that people have for their own personal use.

The problem is that while Ron Paul has some very good ideas on some financial issues, he lacks having the whole package that it would take to be a sucessful President, he can't/won't be able to get it done. In the meantime those that would like to do the United States harm, would be completly free have a free rein to do as they pleased to us because of his hands off forgien policy ideas. Just like Barak Obama bamboozled people with his hope and change BS, Ron Paul and his "everybody gets cake and ice cream" B/S can't deliver. But I guess if we are all stoned on Pot, then it wouldn't matter.

I remember when I was a youngster and went to see George McGovern speak. While I was there the whole crowd was cheering and yelling, but after I left, I tried to think of what he said.........Absolutly nothing. Just like in the movie "3 Amigos" when Chevy Chase was toasting the bandidos......"we raped the horses and rode off on the women". They too cheered.

This is also how I see the Ron Paul movement. Perhaps his isolationist ideas worked in the 17 or 1800's, when he was a kid, but they won't work today. The world is a though place and we can not survive by playing ostrich.

If he (God forbid) were to get the nomination I would have to hold my nose very tight, but I would vote for him (it's like the gun to your head thing). But that scares the pee out of me. And B.O.has to go. One of my concerns is if (read when) he doesn't get the nomination he tries to start that 3rd party crap. Then be ready for 4 more years.

So, we may not agree on who the candidate should be, we need to stay focused on tossing Obama to the curb.
