If going to the back of the bus is what I must do to express my "general" opinion, then to the back of the bus I shall go.
This is what democracy looks like. Thankfully our founding fathers created a Republic, which is currently hanging by a thread.

Honestly, I don't know if I should laugh or cry.

Looks more like pre-school for the sheeple to me!
I read a book a long time ago in High School, the chant in that one was "Four legs good, two legs bad"!
Welcome to the Farm!

I watched that video yesterday, the end made me laugh. The guy in red gets all bent out of shape because he couldn't get a consensus in time if the guest should speak for the guest to actually speak. The guy ends up leaving. I guess Mr. Red shirt had a fantasy that anyone following him would automatically do whatever he wanted. To the guy in red, welcome to democracy, it is not for featherweights like you. Very rarely do you get a bunch of people to agree on anything.
Saw that chanting on the Texas State University campus last week. At best it was ramblings of the bad things America does. It was led in a similar manner with a main speaker and a group echoing whatever the person said. The part I heard involved our military's WMDs and the fact we try to interfere with other countries gaining possession of them. I wanted to tell them that survival nowadays means you can hold the biggest stick. It has been made easy to push a button without a second thought to kill millions. If somebody can't get a bigger stick they can't use it against you. I didn't listen long though. It was actually difficult to follow because I could hear the center speaker so the confused echo that followed was only throwing me off, and I also had more important things I needed to do.
With how unorganized they are there is no way they'll create a new government that is any better than the current one, much less taking over the current one with deeply entrenched foundations and resources.

My favorite was the "white men speak last" thing I read last week.

Could you imagine if the Tea Party had a "black men speak last" rule"? Yeah, the MSM isn't biased....there is so much cheerleading for this occupy thing from the MSM right now its disgusting.

Wow, telling someone they do not have the right to speak because of their skin color is very democratic.
I don't see how they will get anything accomplished besides adding a permanent "funk" smell to the concrete. Bleach and sunlight can only do so much.

I'm closer to crying. I figure if this kind of thing becomes more and more common, our enemies will be laughing plenty.
I think many of those protesting are basically in training for the real protests to come.
Wait until the economy gets even worse and we have Republicans in the White House and controlling the Senate.
That's when the training wheels come off and the REAL protests start. This is just child's play.

We did it to them, this could be turn about is fair play...
I read that Tuesday is gonna be a big day, they (Occupy hippies, SEIU) are supposedly gonna home invade the coporate execs houses. I am sure the MSM will spin it to be something positive though
Are you asking if I think Germany is going to intervene to assist us with protests in our streets, or if I think Germany is going to help bail out our economy?
Either way, the answer is no, I don't think Germany will act directly to assist the USA. They have their hands full trying to keep Europe afloat.
While there may be some pro-US sentiment from some Germans, I don't think we should expect any direct aid.
FWIW, some US banks are getting dragged down by Greece. Germany has pledged to help with that (though the details are not yet specified). IMO, the Germans are primariliy attempting to help stabilize Europe. Any benefit the USA and our banks gets is due to the fact we are intertwined with Europe in a global economy.

For the France - Germany topic of Greece, they are between funding the bail outs, and how to ring fence Greece and let them go under.
Kind of hard considering the single currency, and lack of EU control in the country.
It's too bad that this separate (yet not equal) sub forum, that most people aren't going to see, had to be formed. I'd be interested in what some of our resident left leaning members think of this occupation.
This is real stuff happening in real time. It's pretty scary for thoes of us who are paying attention to this stuff. History shows us where this is going to end up. It's not going to be good.
Our politicians have started another unjust war, only this time they've pitted us, against each other. This isn't going to be about the rich vs. the poor. It's going to be the have's vs. the have nots. These situations are open to interpretation. It may end up that because you and I have a house, a truck, a flat panel TV, a lap top computer, and someone else does not, you and I may be the target of harrassment and/or violence.
It would be nice if this could just peter out, but progressives have been planning this for way too long to give up now. I think that this is the real deal.
