The Debate
Oh Jack you sound like Algore with your "peer reviewed journal" talk.
Many of these NGO's tend to make billions off of A.G.W. And Mr. Hanson is a documented fabricator.
There are other sources of information out there. You can call it pseudo-science or whatever 'you' like. But the fact of the matter is that there are many people that stand to make billions/trillions off of selling A.G.W. to the general public.
It's not about making you happy. It's about the truth. AGW alarmists tell us that the 1990's was the hottest decade in the 20th century when the actual hottest decade was the 1930s. And the reason for the 'numbers' showing the 1990's as hottest is because many of the temp. reporting stations in the Russian Siberia were taken down and moved to warmer climates.
This is all covered and documented by many sources, including the book, "Red Hot Lies" by Chris Horner. He even has pictures in his book showing temp. reporting stations surrounded by asphalt and one even mounted on a roof just above a BBQ grill.
How's that for "peer reviewed"?

I was bored so I read the e-mails that were released in climategate. They were pretty compelling that something was not right. Stuff that made the media I thought was pretty lame, while other emails that were ignored looked more damning to me. Either way it would have taken more than a day of questioning (which is all that occurred) to get to the bottom of the issue.
Last summer was supposedly the hottest on record in my area. I found that interesting because in my completely unscientific analysis it didn't get as hot at the previous year and I didn't spend as much to cool my house. I looked up the temperatures on my favorite weather sites. Turns out the reason it was hottest is because it didn't cool down as much as the previous year. The top temperature was not as hot but the bottom had come up. Instead of normally getting down to 72 or 73 it only got down to 75 or 76. This led to a higher overall temperature. It seemed rather disingenuous to me.

Ron Paul pissed me off when he snubbed Bill O'Reilly and refused to appear on the Factor, saying that he's not a journalist. That's pretty cheeky when you are complaining that you aren't getting sufficient media attention.
Paul isn't in it to do anything, he's just an attention *****. If he were President, he wouldn't do jack squat.

Paul has been on Bill's show before, but I don't blame him for not going on. O'Reilly is scum and bad media plane and simple.

He's flying to Beverly. Swimming pools and movie stars. Y'all come back now ya here.
If it's any consolation I knew right away that he ment to say playne.

You do realize O'Reilly is just and Op-Ed journalist, right? That means he is nothing more than giving his opinion. If you are watching him for anything more than entertainment you are watching him for the wrong reasons. CNN, NBC, ABC, C-BS, MSNBC all have the same type of "journalists" on the air.
Regardless of who wins the Primary, I am voting for Ron Paul. If that means not giving Perry/Romney/Bachman or whoever a vote, thats fine with me. In fact, if Paul doesn't become president, I'd prefer keeping Obama so that he can finally bankrupt the country and we can start fixing things. If a republican gets in, other than Paul, you're looking at a really long, drawn out recession with all the same bs.
Oh, and we are looking at a really long, drawn out recession/depression no matter who becomes president.
What do you expect after decades of excess spending, ignoring the Constitution, open borders, dependence on foreign energy, shipping our indusrial jobs overseas, etc.... etc...Recovery IS going to be long and painful. Our debt is too large and our fundamentals are too out of whack for a quick turnaround. Ron Paul or anyone else can't fix this mess.
Basically, we made our bed, now we have to lie in it.

Germany & France are figuring out how to block off Greece from the Eruo, and let them go under.
Greece's reported unemployment rate is 16.3%, 7% higher than the US reported rate.
Might want to read up a bit on what is going on with Greece's economy, and keep in mind they have not gone bankrupt yet. After you read all that is going on there, then decide if the US needs to go bankrupt before getting fixed.
My analogy of your post : you need to die before you get your gallbladder removed.
A gallbladder is a serious organ to remove, but if you do it correctly, and follow the directions after removal, you can life a normal life.
