For example, you made a typo, 'Rest in piece', about a guy getting killed in a car crash.
You start a thread honoring a guy, but are too lazy to fix an obvious typo that is disrespectful to the deceased. That, or you don't know the expression is rest in peace.
When you make a typo like that, your audience will come to the conclusion that you don't care enough about your thought to express it clearly. Therefore, it is not worth their time to read, and they will skip the post.
