Iron Lady says thanks but no thanks...

It seems the admiration Ms. Palin has for the Iron Lady may not be exactly mutual...

“Lady Thatcher will not be seeing Sarah Palin. That would be belittling for Margaret. Sarah Palin is nuts,”

And the Guardian quote cited was attributed to an unnamed "ally" of Thatcher.

In fact, the only non-anonymous person quoted in the article is Sarah Palin, who says she received an invitation from Thatcher.

I'm not a big fan of Palin, but c'mon. This kind of anonymous source, agenda driven 'journalism' is a disgrace, no matter how common it becomes.

It is a true insult to associate such a statement with Margaret Thatcher. She was far more sophisticated and refined, in true English fashion. She did not speak with such a crude and uncouth tongue.

Margret Thatcher is extremely ancient and probably isnt up to seeing anyone she didnt make the recent royal wedding. I saw her at Ronald Reagans funeral and she wasnt doing well clear back then.

???

I see the article (and the OP) slamming Palin. They know with complete certainty that they are attacking/victimizing Palin, playing the 'anonymous sources' game..

Who is the 'other side', aka Palin, attacking/victimizing in this case?

This is an agenda driven hit piece, proudly relayed by the OP. There's no two way traffic, 'both sides are equally wrong' going on here.

I agree. I doubt Thatcher even knows what is being reported. If anyone said it, it would be some self important nincompoop in her employment that was spouting off. Even that is unlikely. If Thatcher did not want to meet with anyone, it would be handled much differently than that.

I don't see where I was slamming Ms. Palin, but

I see two conservative women taking it on the chin here. What else is new? All I know for sure is that if the top 10 worst choices, flubs, and mistakes in my life were on view for the world to see, I probably wouldn't come off to well. (Nor would any of us.) Palin has been bashed for so long that even people who like her don't want her to run for President.

I'll make a note of it.

7 = agree with blue
10 = agree with Bush
12 = agree with Stalin.

BTW, the Guardians source doesn't state that "Ms. Thatcher thinks Ms. Palin is nuts". The Quote says "That would be belittling for Margaret. Sarah Palin is nuts". I take from that, that it is the opinion of the person being quoted.
