hi all i am looking for a 5.4 engine for my04 150
120k on mine and its dead!!

 

Is your whole engine dead or do you just need some parts to fix it? Let me know because I put a rod threw my block and ended up just getting a new engine so I have a lot of parts if that is all you need. Let me know. esp.stolz@gmail.com

well ! i was told that its basically no good . mechanic told me that due to lack of lubrication to the top end due to sludge build it needs rebuilt. heads,timimg chain set etc. so like you i am thinking on just putting another one in.now if it was an old school motor i would have no problems rebuilding it myself. i think it easier just to replace it! but thanks for your info i will keep you in mind if i change mine

Ok, well if you think you may just want to go with a new top end then let me know. I think that is the only part of mine that is still good. I would have to separate it first but in the long run it may save you some money. I just put a whole new engine in because I got a hold of a Roush stage 3
