brand new saleen s331 hood

I have a brand new saleen s331 hood for sale still in factory primer I got it for a guy on this forum and he decided he doesn't want it. Im asking $300 plus shipping, local pickup or can meet within reasonable distance.

Nope no inserts Idk why saleen didn't make enough inserts for each hood but honestly it wouldnt be hard to make its only some mesh with a trim ring

I really want this hood. Just not sure I want to spend the money and not be able to fabricate the grill

Well the original vent was made out of mesh wire with a trim ring, you can trace the spot in the hood with poster board cut it out take it to your local sheet metal shop and they could do you something. That's what I did with my show truck I was building a engine cover I used poster board made a template of what I wanted they took precise measurements input it in there laser and the laser cut out exactly what I wanted and it fit like a glove and they only charged me 50 bucks. The vent is alot smaller then what I had made so it shouldn't be much.

Or instead of doing mesh you could have it cut out of sheetmetal and then have them cut out the fx4, saleen or whatever logo you wanted.
