I have an SCT Xcal3 that I used on my 2004 Ford F150 4.6L, I purchased this from VMP Tuning about 3 years ago.

I do not currently own this vehicle anymore, the tuner works as it should and has custom tunes on it.

Im not sure how much these sell for, so Id like to try and get $300.00 for it as I paid for $400.00 for it.

does this tuner require that the original stock tune be reinstalled on the truck to allow the tunes to be reinstalled on a different vehicle?

 

Im not sure, I just know it has 3 tunes that I downloaded from Justin. I didnt return the old vehicle to stock, I dont see why this wouldnt work with the program for you to load it with new tunes and go.

As far as I know that is how it will work.

 

If you didnt return it to stock then that unit is vinlocked to your old truck and will require it to be sent in to sct to get it unlocked. I think that cost is somewhere around 150.00

 

That is what I believe also. The tuner as it is now cannot be used and to be a good deal for someone you would have to be willing to let it go quite cheaply. otherwise we could buy a new one cheaper IMHO.
