McGaughys 2/4 with airbags
McGaughys 2/4 with airbags
Complete 2/4 drop with springs, rear leafs, extenders, and helper airbags for towing.
Would consider shipping if buyer pays. Local pick ups welcome or I can meet within an hour of Wichita Falls, Tx.
Suspension coming off tomorrow and rides great.
Here is a pic with my 22" that are already sold.

Dark spot on bottom of bag is from my finger making sure the bracket wasnt touching or rubbing the bag. Bags are in great condition.

Bump... IDK what the hell I was doing and why I didnt realize that I was asking $700 but that is not the case consider it a typo... The kit was $475 for the leafs and front coils and another ~$150 for the bag setup. $300 for the kit should be about right for an asking price. Sorry about the typo guys!.....$300 for everything.
^^^ Ditto...would like to know more about the bag setup, as I've been wanting to do this very setup. Do these come with the compressor or just maintain what you air them up to?
And I know the feeling about switching my prices and values around in my head, no biggie.

I believe (dont quote me on this til morning when I can see) that they are the firestone double billow bags... They are not a compressor setup, I drilled a hole in my inner fender for the chuck valve.

Yup, they are Firestone double billow bags. They come with upper frame bracket and the lower leaf bracket, air lines and push connectors. The drop leafs also have shock extenders. Leafs come with black silicone impregnated poly bushings for rigidity and squeak control. The coils are a direct replacement.
Up at MSU? How much would you want for just the bags? Any pics of them or when they were installed?
I'm debating on the McGaughy's or Eibach lowering springs otherwise I'd buy it all together...anyone have good reasons why I should go with one over the other?

No I work for WFFD... On the question of the eibach vs the McGaughys I have to say that I prefer the McGaughys. Not because I am trying to sell them tho. I had the Eibach on the truck before I did the Mcgaughys and I feel that the spring rate is better, I get a smoother ride than I did befor with less bottoming out. Hey, that is just me tho, I prefer the smoother low style as opposed to riding on frame feel. I dont have roll issues and with the bags I can tow (although it says not to) more than I could on factory setup.... Yea I took a pic of them this morning with my phone but the wife has the cord with her at work so it will be later this evening before I can upload.... If you want I would be willing to work somthing out for those headlights.?!
I wish I had them still...I'd be up for making a deal with you, but sold them back in the spring. I may build another set or two in the near future though as it was fun.
So you're saying that the Eibach's are more of a rough ride, or are just quicker to react on spring rate? I know for sure that I'm looking at these two sets, and I'm definitely wanting an airbag assist even with my 2" drop shackles I have now.
On the drop, was 2/4 even front and back or would you suggest I use my shackles on the 1" step to get a 2/5 drop?

I felt that they were just rough all around. My wife complained constantly that my truck rode like a go-cart... So in the interest of my marriage and my style we found a compromise. The McGaughys ride very well in my opinion. I am selling them because I plan on trading in the truck for an SUV for my wife but that is a different story. I bought them when you could still buy direct from McGaughys and they listened to my needs and basically tailored the kit to my needs. I told them that I like to be low and smooth bc ride "comfort" is a must but that I want the suspension to "respond" when I throw it into the corners. I have to say that they did a great job with the one that they sent me. I will always buy from them when I do a static drop, period.
On your other question, the 2/4 sat level. I am sure that you have looked at my pics and the back end looked a little higher. That was due to two reasons. 1- I had a little air in the bags bc we went to the lake that weekend and I towed the jet skis out there and had some stuff in the back of the truck. 2- It has alot to do with the angle of the picture on the hill. You can put 65# in these bags with no problem, It will however push the *** end of the truck in the air unless you have a load on it.
In conclusion I have some tips for installing the kit that will make your life way easier when you decide to do it. (it will keep you from having to drop the gas tank for the install)
