Front Mounted Receiver Hitch

I used this front mount receiver to park my 30' travel trailer on the side of my house. Works great for boats too. The neighbors might look at you funny but it makes "backing" the trailer SO much easier that the "normal" way.

You can also mount a service step to perform maintenance in the engine compartment or use it as a winch mount.

The price is $100 (over $200 new) and shipping is $35 (it's heavy!). PM me for more details. Thanks.

Here is a link to my installation of the hitch:

F150 Front Mount Hitch Installation

You can see that the top of the receiver tube just touches the lower fascia of the bumper. The hitch also has 2 position holes so you can raise or lower the hitch by 1/2" or so.

I have a ball mounted to a quick hitch attachment for the loader on my New Holland tractor. I can attest to the ease in moving trailers around with a front hitch.
Good luck with your sale, this will make somebody a handy tool.

Yes, I discovered this technique 5 years ago when I moved to another house. My travel trailer would have otherwise been impossible to back in.

Anyone else interested? The hitch is still available.

Hey YDM, I am over in Reno and I may be interested. Does it stick out from the bumper or does it tuck close? Thanks. Also, do you know anyone locally that would like to trade their PTM bumpers for chrome ones? I have a 2005 but would like the 06-08 front bumper.

If you look at the install link pics, you can see that the hitch doesn't stick out much at all. Here is a pic for reference:

I don't know of anyone around our area that would trade bumpers. Sacramento would probably be your next best bet. We can hook up today if you want to come take a look at the hitch. PM me and I'll give you directions.

I'm interested, have been looking at buying a front hitch for a while, but they are going for $140 shipped, new, on eBay, same model/manufacturer.

I think you might be referring to the Curt front hitch, which is cheaper on eBay than the DrawTite for the F150. I'm still cheaper shipped though!

Make me an offer I can't refuse.
