Well here in San Diego the border patrol uses the broncos (used too) for as long as Ford made them. There great off road veichles!

They don't flex like a truck does because its a solid cab on top of the frame instead of a sperate cab and bed.

The border patrol is now starting to use the expeditions.

Good advise on "the shorter the wheel base the better". Your truck looks great - what tire and wheel package are you using.

questions from a noobe

I posted up a few questions on this forum in another thread, but I am still looking for some suggestions. I bought my son an '01 f150 4x4 and neither of us have any experience driving a 4x4. Any suggestions where I can find instructions on operation and care of the 4x4 drivetrain? I dont have the original manual.

I am also interested in ideas for changing oversize tires, this truck has a big lift on it with 35" tires. What kind of jack should I buy or can the stock jack be used with a bunch of wood under it? Where can an oversize jack be mounted on truck, possibly underneath? And, where and how would you secure a large oversize spare tire/wheel? Thanks,
