stalling and launching

hey everybody, just wanted to get some ideas of what works for everybody, maybe there is something better out there than what i do....

i just wanted to know (for those of you who race or go out to the track to run your trucks), how do you stall it up and launch without spinning?

in my case, i have positive traction and have never really had a problem with spinning, i just stall it up as high as i can, (usually about 2300 rpm) and then when the light goes down, just let off the brake and ease into the gas..works very well for me...

well last weekend i put on a roll pan and took off my bumper, towing package, spare tire, and tailgate (altogether about 260 pounds), and when i went to run the Gtech i just roasted when i launched...NOT SO GOOD. so i have been trying to figure something out this week. anybody know what works better? how do you all do it? thanks
