My first and last time offroading

Decided to throw some mud on the ole ford the other night. STUPIDEST mistake ever. I guess I didn't realize what I was doing. Once you get in the mud, you cannot leave becuase it soo much fun. Then later on you realize your $30,000 investment is covered in mud. So far I have worked about 10 hours on cleaning it and i am yet far from done.

I also only hit 2 little small mud holes. Thanks to them, whole truck will have to be undercoated again :o

Wink

YEH but I bet you had a hell of a time
I love to go out mudding, only problem though I haven't got'n enough nerve to take out my 99 out. I have taken my last two trucks. I'm getting closer and closer to get enough nerve to take it out though.
Only problem, like you said, you can spend a weekend cleaning up the truck. Hope you get it back in shape soon.

I went mudding one time in my 98 F-150 when I still had it. The thing was so flippin muddy, that I was finding mud in the undercarriage for months! It was a blast though . You'll go back .
And don't worry about that undercoating, herculine the whole thing, it'll look cool and protect from rust and corrosion a heck of a lot better then any "spray on undercoating"

It's not that bad, of course, I do have a giant power washer in a wash bay. But really, with that, I can have the under carriage done in a little over an hour. I get some nasty clothes on, get on a creaper, and just go to town. Just from this last weekend, me and a buddy went and got a little muddy, went back to my shop and got cleaned up. The next day, scooped up a wheel barrow load of black mud, so heavy that you could barely lift it. Mud on my truck looks cool, and makes the truck look good, but I think I like it clean better.

Yeah, I have a steam genie and a huge power washer myself. They help a lot, but mud hides in some places I never thought where there. I spent another 2 hours working today. My truck is almost perfect now. BUT IM READY FOR MY SUPERLIFT!!!!!!! IM savin$$$!

hey fellas,
a good trick i learned years ago is to put a lawn sprinkler, one of those that shoot straight up and go side to side, underneath your truck and let it run for a while. it will loosen up mud in places you never even think of. after it soaks, hit it with the pressure washer and get ready. loads of fun, rich.

awww, u should have put some pics of it up there, we all like to see our mud splattered trucks after all, what good is a truck if you aren't going to use it for it's intended purpose.

The day after i had my truck (2000 F150 short wheelbase 4x4), i was doing donuts in a snow covered parking lot, and tossing fresh powder up over the roof. Don't be one of these yuppies that buys's a 4x4 truck (or a hummer, that REALLY pisses me off), just to dive on the freeway as a commuter vehicle. They are ment to be fun, use em as such.
