tips and stupid stuff

I have alot of tips and tricks at my site

http://www.performancetruck.cc

Its a personal site, with all of the junk that i've done to my truck (4.6L 5spd). Its got free suspension mods, do-it-yourself ram air, and a bunch of stupid stuff too. Its got movies/videos on it too. Alot of people email me with questions about it, and i try to help out as much as I can, and when I can't, I always send them the forums like this one.

Interesting site. Will probably take me a week to see everything in it. A week and a couple of bottles of cheap vodka...

A word of warning to anybody going to this site. I hope you have a weird sense of humor cause if you don't, you won't enjoy it as much as I have for the few minutes I looked at it. LOL.

An entire week? Only? It takes me a month to read all the crap that i've written. It doesn't help that I'm illiterate. Yeah, I do have a weird sense of humor. Its kinda like I'm one of the kids of the addams family that was into trucks. I'm spooky! hee hee. Vodka does help though. I prefer just beer... AND LOTS OF DIET COKE!!!!

Anywho, I'll be putting up some new pics soon. Gotta wait for my bro to drop off the digital camera.

I wish Gran tourismo 3 would have trucks in it. AHHHH, too much pressure.

Dissonance,

Interesting reading. So what is your current
¼ mile times. How is the tranny holding out?

tranny

My tranny sucks... It can't hold up worth crap. I'm thinking about replacing it with a high performance one. Haven't looked into it yet though cause funds are designated right now for rims and tires (long overdue). My fastest 1/4 mile time according to the G-tec was 14.9 something. I was jumping for joy. I power shifted the crap out of my tranny, and now I can't power shift it anymore. I messed it up. Also, on that day of the 14.9 something, it was freezing outside, so that helped. Since that day, i haven't been able to get under 16 seconds... So i'm very pissed about that. Stupid tranny. I have to blame the tranny cause i cant power shift anymore. also, my tires slide way to much now, i can't launch as good as i used to. Sucks huh... Its like dying and seeing the light, and right when you thought you were in the embrace of God, you trip, and you fall back to hell.

Yeap... sucks.

Dissonance,

As soon as you add a few performance parts to your 4.6 you exceed the power capabilities of the 5 speed. No suprise there if you are running into problems with the 5 speed.

Check out Richmond Gear. http://www.richmondgear.com/

The ZF 5 or 6 speed (usedin the Super Duty) is a heavier duty unit but I suspect power shifting it will cause problems.
