F150online members OBX trip pics/vids

A few of us F150online members (ruffn-it, formuladriver01, and fraige) got together today with a couple of my jeep friends to head to the outer banks (NC). Ive got a bunch of videos, one of fraige's brush guard getting ripped off. I will figure out how to upload a video to utube later. Till then here's a few of the pics and a link to all of the pictures I uploaded in my album.

Fraige I want to see a pic from the front of your truck with the aftermath of the rip-off. Or did yall get it back on somehow?

We unbolted it and threw it in his bed. You can see it in his bed in the 3rd pic. I got some minor scratches trying to squeeze my truck in a trail barely big enough for the jeeps. I was a little more cautious after that. Meguires scratch remover seems to be doing the trick though. I also had a very loud pop in the front end a couple times sounding like binding, not sure why, but it was mainly when switching into 4x4 or going from reverse to drive. The budy in the truck with me is a ford mechanic, and even he wasnt too sure what it was transfer case, front end, etc. It was good time though, some had to go a little early so we weren't wheelin as long as I hoped. Hopefully we will do another one by march before fomuladriver01 leaves the area.

Nice pics! I'm assuming he hadn't aired down yet? The sand looks a little hard to be getting stuck like that.

The ground was extremly hard since it rained the night before, but he is a 2wd and he stopped in the soft stuff. But to add to the pics, i went back today with a different friend with a Dodge, here's a few more pics.

Did this on purpose

Got some good videos today, went thru a couple holes a little deeper then i would have wanted, but the truck is ok so thats all that matters. Now to detail it, got a couple scratches to get out from a too tight of trail and a muddy engine to clean.

Sweet! When y'all plan another one let me know. Summer time would be better because of school. But I am not too far away (approx. 3 or so hours) so making a few day trip out of it would be awesome!

yea I saw that later when I watched the video, looked like the truck puked it out the front. That hole kind of scared me a bit seeing the water flow over my hood like it did.
