Looking for some advice
If you search this topic you will get a bunch of stuff. But heres a quick few...
Mud tires
Tow strap (for when you get stuck)
And a friend with a 4x4 to get you unstuck
If your serious and have the money...
Rear locker or LS
Lift
Winch
Momentum is your friend, mud all in your engine- not so much.

1.Mud tires will be a necessity with a 2wd to be able to do anything at all in the mud
2. Go with a chain, not a strap. I've broken so many straps, and never broke a chain
3.Definitely have somebody to get you out. With a 2wd, you WILL get stuck. Often. Regardless of what tires you have
4. A locker would be a very good idea, and so would a winch. Warn just came out with the new VR series with 8,000 10,000 or 12,000lb models that aren't near as expensive as their other models. I plan on getting the VR 10,000
2wd and mud riding is really hard to make work.
2. Go with a chain, not a strap. I've broken so many straps, and never broke a chain
if you value your life, use a strap. get a quality strap, if you have access get one from the ship yard. when a chain snaps, something else will get damaged whether it be a grille, windshield, person behind the windshield.
