wide tires

I am lookin to get wider tires later on after mine now wear out. How wide of a rim will i need for a 14.5"-15.5" wide tires?

i think the widest they make for our trucks are 10" wide wheels. they used to make some 12" but they are discontinued.

so i think you are stuck with 10" wheels.

how tall of a tire are you looking at?

on my 97 f150 i had 38x15.5r16.5 swamper radial tsls on a 9.75" wide rim... now on my expy running 37x13.5r16 xtreme ats on a 10" wide rim... f150 had 6" fabtech + 3" body lift n torsion bars cranked... expy has 6" fabtech + 3" bl + 2" coil spacer.... if that helps u out at all

U will be fine man. There are tons of guys running those size tires on 10" wide rims. I will be too eventually! Haha

Personally, 14.50 is as wide as I would run. 15.50 will rub too much. (14.50 will rub a little too.)

yea 15.5 is prudy wide. 14.5s will do just as good.

whats the biggest tire you could throw on stock rims? ive been looking around trying to find that answer, but noone really seems to say since everyone with bigger tires goes with aftermarket rims...

You can put up to a 12.5" wide tire on stock wheels. Tire diameter will not matter. I had 36's on my stock wheels. As long as you don't go over 12.5" wide you can go as tall as you want.
