Curious

me and my buddy we talkin
we both have 2006 f150 screw
my buddy said he was talkin to a guy with a s10 that has some ridiculous huge tires he says he can float the truck in the pond where we off road by. We were both curious of this is possible. If it is how big of a tire would ya need to float an f150?
any ideas

yeah it's possible some monster trucks can float. and check out this monster beetle floating. i would figure it would take tires bigger than these for a heavy f150. unless that guy has like very very wide 60+ in. tires then i doubt it.

66's should float a regular cab short bed.

50's depending on what tire exactly could possibly float a light s10

haha the pontoons is a joke the he talks about. i started a thread awhile back trying to figure out what size truck tires i could put on my fourwheeler to make it float and he kept suggesting pontoons. lol

The difference from Shortbed Reg cab to Super Crew 5.5' bed isnt THAT much. Im almost 100% sure that 66's would float any cab/ bed configuration F150.

Just got to make sure you keep the truck balanced front to rear and left to right. REally easy to flip or roll over when floating (ive seen it happen a few times)
