Tips for offroad tires
^I've heard of them before, seen on a member's truck. He was going through sand and mud with em with just a level kit and 33's, but apparently they do pretty well... I couldn't find them on any tire websites, so Im looking at some nitto mud graplers for my project truck - 99 tahoe... They don't have great wear, so if you're putting them on a dd I'd go with Pro Comp or BFG km2s
check out http://www.offroaders.com/tech/AT-MT-Tires/ on the left side they have a list of just about all the tires on the market and they give some good reviews.
these 2 guys have the right idea. by far are the best mt/street legal there is around! their decently quiet on the road which for me is a nice quality.
on this though, i had never seen these in person or in action untill last week at nascar campsite i was at. a buddy had a stock z71 (i know chevy) with 33 hankook dynapro's. there was a dodge 2500 diesel with a 5th wheel that was 34' long and probably wieghed at least 17000lbs. combined. he was stuck because the roads were pure mud (check album). when my bud hooked up he pulled him out with ease. all the dodge needed was momentum but the chevy kept traction better than i had seen most mud terrains out there through the week. remember im giving the tires credit not the chevy, but they didnt lose grip at all pulling that heavy load. i have to give them props for not even a slip. even though the km2's would have done just as good, he got the deal of buy 3 get 1 free. which meant $850 for 4-33's with all road hazard and all. final being they bite. (in a good way)
