4x4 vibration

4x4 vibration

my 4x4 works awsome never let me down, but it seems whenn in 4x4 hi tht its so much more noise like vibration i think its just the front end spinning and the front drive shaft, and i have checked for play in the front drive shaft and there is absolutly nun at all. i just wanted to see if anyone else has this? oh and this is only in 4x4 in 2wd there is no vibration.

i dont really know one of the hubs has been replaced i kind of think its just the 4x4 parts spinning cause as soon as i take it of to 4wd it doesnt hum but the noise isnt loud at all just notice able

could even be a u-joint starting to seize upn the front drive shaft, would cause a vibration only in 2wd...

Check out in the how to section under IWE solenoid with pictures. I think that thread will help you out alot. What does this noise sound like? A grinding, humming, squealing, or what?

my truck was doing that too in 4H 4L and 2WD, went out muddin one day then it started, i had to change the inner and outer bearings on both sides and now its working. thats the only thing i can think of.

Check your vacuum lines to the shifter pot on the front axle as well, i just fixed that on an 04+ the other weekend it was causing alot of noise issue having not enough vacuum to fully engage or disengage... potential

its just a humming noise and its only in 4wd high as soon as i take it out of 4wd the noise is gone
