Offroad trip... not meant to be?

Well before Saturdays truck show Me and IOR went out to rancho, wanted to get alitte offroad time then hit the show.

Not much luck, i got stuck just trying to get though the front gate, IOR got stuck trying to get me out and i ended up getting snatched out by a chevy. Took 6 spine jarring snaps to get me out. IOR could not even budge the truck he snatched on it a few times and i didnt even feel it, but in his defense his 4wd was not staying engaged.

so in the end i got stuck twice once going though the main entrance and again coming back out the main entrance. IOR got stuck twice as well once attempting to pull me out and once leaving the main entrance. That pretty much ended Rancho for us, and we went somewhere else.

The day didnt turn out that bad, as we went to another area to get fairly dirty before the show.

heres a couple pictures

its been stuck twice now.

4x4 would have got me further but might of also got me in more trouble. It got about a foot deeper alittle further in.

My tires are directional and dont get much traction in reverse, add that to the fact that my weight was all transferred to the front i really had no chance of getting out in reverse, 4x4 MIGHT have gotten me out but doubt ful. I fell off a 1 foot ledge.

were i was it wasnt, if i would have went about a foot further in there was another drop off about another foot i was chest deep wading though it.

and IOR's truck is about 3-4" lower than mine. and we are on about the same size tires.

once i get the motor done ill be on at least 44's but probably gonna run 46's and there will be a HUGE difference.

Couldn't be the Gumbo Mudders you run could it

Sounds as good as my weekend. Lost the pin to my hydro steering ram on the first trail of the day, and the StaK decided to blow out its oil on the way back to the trailer.

I was only going out for about 3 hours just to get dirty before the show. I entered as best MUD TRUCK so thats why i wanted it to be muddy. I probably wont even do anymore offroading till i get the truck finished.

Plus im not much of a fan of lakeland, too many people IMO

Haha punk, my 4 wheel drive wasnt work, every time I went to go forward, it keep popping, tires would n't turn, then when I put it in 2 wheel drive and backed up the last time to get a good yank, I ended up digging myself deeper and further back.

sounds like your tcase IOR. Mine used to pop out when under a load, was probably the shift fork that engages the front driveshaft. But I couldn't get the damn thing open to find out and make sure. I had replaced it with a new one. Could also be your shift motor not engaging entirely, take it off and manually turn that lever with a pair of pliers to be sure it's not the shift motor.

Thanks man, I'm gonna take it to my mechanic next week, leave that stuff to the pros, Ive also heard it could be my 4wd solenoid. So not sure what it is, but it picked a hell of a time to start acting up. HaHa
