What next?

I have a 2001 ford s-crew on 37 inch tires. Its a 2wd with the 5.4 V8. I have the truck tuned by troyer with the SCTII. I was wondering what all you guys have done to get more power? I have looked at the supercharger/turbo option but dont really want to go that way. I have looked around and cant find many options for more power.

gears, 4.88's will be great for what you are running.

you have the 9.75 rearend so look for gears that match that, and if you use it offroad id look into a quality limited slip like tru-trak

all this can be done under $1k and id will definitely wake the truck up!!!

thats exactly what i want to do is wake the truck up!! I want to be able to spin the 37s and have a faster acceleration and throttle response. I know it would help it out so it woiuldnt lug as much going up a change in elevation and when it wouldnt shift in and out. But is there any power add ons that will help out this truck!

besides turbo or supercharger your not gonna find anything better than gears for a lifted truck.

but honestly if you really want power id start looking at a positive displacement blower. A lightning top end with the m112 can get you some power or you can look into whipple.

but gears are gonna help with what you want and will be ALOT cheaper than going Force Induction.

other issue you are gonn start finding out is your transmission is gonna start really wearing out without the gears, its already over working to move the big tires, add more power to that and your gonna get the negative effects ALOT faster.
