Something is wrong with the Ranger

I don't know what it is, and I can't quite put my finger on it. The back end seems to want to slide sideways when I'm offroad, but then again thats physically unpossible. Oh wait, maybe its a problem in the suspension? Nah, couldn't be that. I'm at a loss. Maybe I should ask in the sliding sideways thread, there seems to be some really good advice from a few members in there.

Oh, now I see, the stupid thing turned itself into a Jeep

This forum needs some better smilies.

Actually there are only 3 Jeep parts on it. Other than that its all Ford.

The grill, the hood, half the frame, and half the tub. I know technically thats 4, but the last 2 only add up to 1 item

I just wish that it didn't have to sit for a month before I can use it.

I'm planning on seeing if Stak has any ideas on the hard shifting. If I can't get any resolution there I'll run it until I can get an Atlas in it.

The 5.0L swap is a good one. The 302 has tons of aftermarket support and can make good hp easy. I'm not planning on running rocks or anything huge for tires and its just a trail rig/light comp rig so I don't need gobs of power. I'm tempted to try it in RCRocks sometime. The previous owner ran it in that series and it meets comp rules.
