Tow Straps

Which one of these would be the best to use as a tow strap?

Go to truck and trailer and then page 54. I was thinking of the one with the hooks that is $12.99.

dont use straps with hooks.

if you want something to pull trucks out with then get a ****** strap, they are whey stronger, have kenetic energy and no metal on them.

straps are great... tug boat rope works really good for the real big boys (normally can get it in longer sections) which helps build speed for snatching.

but for the usual F150 a ****** strap will do wonders. Make sure tow hooks are parts are on TIGHT i ripped my hitch off the truck yanking on my stepdads stuck Jeep.

I could probably try and look this up, but.. how exactly are ya supposed to use recovery/****** straps? I guess what I'm asking is.. where and how do you attach the strap? Anyone got pics of someone hooked up? There are two open loops of recovery straps.. so I'm guessing you would need d-rings?

Do I pull someone out in reverse or drive? I have tow hooks in the front.. what would I use those for? What do I do about the rear..?

I read alot of guys on here use d-rings because of the closed hooks, which I guess are more tow loops then hooks. I was looking at get the strap from the place whose site I posted.

zeruin: good attachment points include the front tow hooks, and the receiver hitch. if for some reason your truck doesn't have a hitch, get one. NEVER EVER pull someone out with your truck in reverse, the reverse band is much weaker than the drive band, and you could lose reverse gear. you use your tow hooks for someone to pull you out, not vice versa.

I read the other thread, but was asking about the ones on the website I posted and didn't want to hijack the other thread with my question.

Heres what i attach my strap though, That goes into the hitch.

and heres what it looks in the receiver, This is on the front of my truck, the good thing about this is i can just pull the pin and move it to the rear hitch.
