Looking for suggestions..

I have a 2002 Supercab FX4 4.6L w/ K&N cold air intake, Gibson Dual exhaust and Superchips tuner running 305/70/16 MT Claws on AR rims..What would be a solid next addition to get more performance out of my truck? Its a daily driver thats rarely even off pavement.. Bought headers but after getting install quotes that were more then what i paid for the headers themselves i sold them.. Was thinking TB spacer, upgrading my MAF sensor or aftermarket TB but have recently read that these arent really worth it.. Thx for ur time,

Steve

I had the tb spacer on my 4.6 with the k&n intake. I didnt notice any difference and just sold it. I would not reccomend wasting your money on one but its up to you.

Yeah after reading that their a waste of $$ im looking in another direction.. I prefer bolt-on mods cause i can do most myself and w/ it being a daily driver its tough for me to not have it for a few days while something majors being done.. Kinda saving that for when i get it lifted, lol!! Only have the tuner set on the moderate setting due to gas pricing but could try and see the difference in the higher setting running premium fuel too.. Thx for ur input!!

Headers, arent that hard to put on. You could probably do it yourself if you wanted to take the time. No TBS, waste of money. so that leads me to a GEAR SWAP. From what I've gathered and someone correct me if I'm wrong, I think they'll be between $800-$1200 for the set + installation. (I believe you have to get a 4 X 4 kit which changes the gears in the transfer case as well)

You dont change the gears in the transfer case, just have to do both front and rear diff.

That seems like about the right amount of cash. It depends on where you are located too. I paid $1,000 for parts and labor.

performance section, theres an exhaust/intake thats where you could ask about the TB, but its a waste of money and makes an annoying whistling.

theres also an aftermarket section for other types of things. offroading just seems the farthest possible correct section

its cool, i was just wondering why/how it ended up here.

I saw the Performance sections just didnt want to post in each individual one asking the same question pertaining to that sections area of focus.. Oh well no harm done, thx to all that have responded..

As for doin the headers myself, i was told by more then one mechanic that the engine would need to be dropped in order to get to the one side of the engine..
