Very nice stuck pics

These are the pics of my dumba$$ friend stuck in a major mud/water hole. The truck appears to be running fine but does anybody know of anything that he might need to do to make sure that nothing internal is messed up?

change both differentials' fluid, and transmission fluid. this is per ford's specs. anytime an axle is submerged, the differential's fluid must be changed. the differentials and the transmission have breather tubes that can suck water inside and damage the respective components.

It's a chevy so no matter what you do it's screwed.

Joking aside, i would change the diff fluids, and even repack the wheel bearings. I would then convince him he needs a lift, bigger tires, and locker(s).

his truck should be fine his hood wasnt under water and i beleive his airbox is on the right side u should check the airbox and filter to check if it has gotten wet if its wet you may have done a little damage to the motor if not you should be ok , and ditto on the diff fluid, if he really wants to do himself a favor find a deeper hole go in it shut the motor off and swim out lol jkjk

Airbox is on the passenger side, you are correct, I used to have a very similar truck.
