Where about you from ? Don't have the yj anymore ? Got a new toy ??

Tank Trap only gets crazier after that first hill climb. Its just one nutty trail, but it was fun. Well, if you got another toy, or ya wana go wheeling, hit me up. We are usually BS'in in the GD forum, here:

Looks like fun. Can't wait to get my explorer out of the garage and on the trail!

What kind of drive train do you have in the sammi? Looks like yota axles? Nice rig. I wanted to get one for my wife but she had no interest in wheeling, cept as a rider

Tank trap is a pretty sweet trail, do you ever go to johnson valley? I want to get out there so bad it's not funny. Indiana has too much mud.

Dig the buggy too, I've been toying with the idea of trying to build one after the sploder's finished....never happen haha

Having problems stringing together thoughts today based on this post haha

That one is actually my buddies Samurai, same as mine, but I don't have sheet metal anymore, mostly tubing.

We run the 1.6L 16valve EFI motor out of a Sidekick. Then run the sidekick 5spd transmission, mated to a sidekick transfer case, then mated to a samurai t-case with 6.5: 1 gears. Those then run down to Yota axles front and rear, with Bobby Long's Longfields 30spline, all chromonly front and rear, 5.29 gears locked front, spooled rear. He is running custom Waggy springs, I run custom YJ springs. Both of us are looking into a linked set-up. We'll see.

Ya, Mike's Yota is bad *** ! he has plans to take the rocks, and put them under a complete tube buggy, drop an LS1 motor in it, and have some seriouse power ! Its just a bad *** rig, with a quality guy. he made those wheels he is running also !

check out some of those video's, you'll like em. Especially my "favorite" and the "classic".

Haven't made it down to hit the hammers just yet. Looks like we will be plannin a trip soon, waiting for the weather to cool down ! If you ever get seriuous about Johnson Valley, let me know, and we will set up a trip down there ! Hands down, some of the most extreme, hardcore trails out there !! Tank trap is nutty, but doesn't even hold the jock of the Hammer trail systems ! Those are just plain nuts ! The King of the Hammers video is comin out in a week or so, make sure you grab it. The guys say its gunna be a wicked vid. You get CRAWL ?? Not sure if you read about KOH 08 but wow, Shanon Campbell is a frickin GOD in his moon buggy ! Started last (physically) and ended 1st (physically) on the most hardcore comp ever thought up !!

Zuki motor has just recently been swapped. Actually, I am thinking about rippin that 1.6 back out, putting it on a stand, and building it up. I have the perfectly good 1.3 still sitting here. Run that one til its dead !

Ya, KOH is frickin awesome !! Best new event going ! I think its really gunna take off soon ! I would love to build up a rig for it, hopefully its around to stay !! Visit websites like http://www.fojv.org/ and join !! Voice your support ! do NOT let this place go thje route of Tellico and other awesome trail systems being closed down.

MT,
Looks like a lot of fun, wish i would have been there. I'm glad you finally made it down to hollister hills. Now that you have been there, how would you compare it to the usual spot you go to, Cow Mountain right?

Was a blast for sure ! Next time, hopefulyl I'll know in advance and yall can meet up down there.

Anyways, those two places.... completely different, but kinda similar !
Cow mountain has easier trail systems, stuff that an aggressive stock rig can get through, if they are willing to put up with body damage. Cow mountain always = brush scartches a plenty too. But Cow how a decent obstacle course, has a more extreme obstacle, with the "Waterfall" . Hollister hills seems more like a place for trail rigs, the trails we went through were TOUGH ! And I wouldn't even try with the Ford. Hollister hills has that one mud pit, Cow has a HUGE part down by a river, with PLENTY to play in. There are some pro's and cons for both. I definately will be heading back down to hollister REAL soon !

** plannin a trip to Cow mountain if anyone wants to go. Just gunna be a one day thing I think, I will stay the night if anyone else wants to camp out. Heading up early Saturday 18th.

Fawker. Push it back to the 25th and I'll go for sure. I might be able to swing the 18th, but the 25th would be better.

25th is the weekend of a big clean-up. Place will be packed ! Plus, it wasn't me who chose the 18th, was just told about it the other day ! 18th will be more for the Samurai anyways, want to stretch it out a little again (put the 1.3 in , still have my sweet roll bar though )

Maybe i can go back up the 25th, just the truck. Sorry Dankle, I forgot, memory SUCKS !!!
