Normal?

so last night while we were playing around when i was pulling out my friend i was in 4lo in reverse (couldnt turn around to pull from rear) but anyways i would get on the gas a little bit and truck would nearly die only for like half a second. is that normal? never had a problem before now from daily driving. mods are in sig. i figured i would post this here before i went up to the tuning or engine section since yall can probly give a better answer with 4wd stuff

Assuming you have a 5.4 if anything it is a very small vacuum leak. Not really a concern if it doesnt get worse. My 4.6 did the same thing with a little hesitation in all gears in 4low. If it doesnt get worse and doesnt happen in your other gears I wouldnt worry about it. Even if you still under warranty, I know my dealerships would believe me about certain things because they couldnt get it to happen. I wouldnt worry unless it gets worse.

My truck did the same thinng two weeks ago and ended up with me getting stuck because of the power loss. Then last Thursday my truck wouldnt accelerate and would die when I hit the gas. It ended up there was something stuck in the MAF causing it to add a ton of fuel when it wasnt needed. I would look at the vaccum leak as well as the MAF.

trucks a 4.6l btw. forgot i didnt have that in my signature any more. vacuum will be off the cold air intake right? the hose that goes from the engine to it right before the throttle body? i have never had this problem before. and what would be wrong with the MAF sensor? im not throwing any codes so i dont know what i can do it figure it out. ill go pop the hood in a bit before and check the hose going to the intake.

Possible Vacuum leak:

Hey, im gonna jump in here with something. I'm not quite sure how the 4wd actuates on the new body style, but on my '02, the front axle has a vacuum actuator on the center. If the newer body style has this, it may be a place to check for leaks. Just throwin in my $.02.
Hope you find out what is wrong
